Did you know that Bluefin Tuna is an endangered species?
In support of the growing movement to protect this at-risk fish, SUSHISAMBA has voluntarily removed Bluefin Tuna from all our menus nationwide.
Blue the Right Thing
Even though a proposed ban that would have restricted commercial fisherman from further harming Bluefin Tuna was recently rejected at a UN Conference, SUSHISAMBA is taking a stand:
• We’ve voluntarily removed Bluefin Tuna, including Otoro Tuna and Chu Toro Tuna, from every one of our locations nationwide.
• We’re stamping our sushi menus with our “No Blue” logo to raise awareness of the endangered status of Bluefin Tuna among customers.
• We remain committed to offering the tastiest, freshest sushi, with a renewed focus on sustainability.
Bluefin tuna could become extinct within 10 years if things don’t change. SUSHISAMBA is proud to be a part of the solution – not the problem!
The Dish on More Sustainable Fish
In addition to our ban of Bluefin Tuna, SUSHISAMBA is diving into to more sustainable sourcing overall.
We’re working closely with our fish purveyors to make the most responsible sourcing decisions. Sustainable fishing is all about supporting healthy ecosystems for fish and maintaining their population levels. It’s truly a win-win for all involved!
Bottom line: Our focus on sustainable fish means SUSHISAMBA fans like you will continue to enjoy the healthiest, tastiest fish available without a care in the world. What’s not to love?
